Quarterback Season 2 Tv Series Review
When I agreed to review Netflix’s Quarterback Season 2, I expected to craft some deep insight about the docuseries. Maybe I’d explore how access shapes filmmakers’ ability to tell a full story in projects like this. Or I’d muse on the quarterback’s towering role in American culture. If I was feeling kind, I might’ve even nodded to the show’s recovery from last year’s lackluster Receiver, which I abandoned due to an overload of George Kittle.
But as I binged the seven-episode season, trying to conjure a weighty think piece while glued to the screen like it was a Sunday NFL slate, one simple thought kept surfacing: Man, I’ve missed football.
For most American sports fans, football anchors the fall—and honestly, the entire year. Thursdays through Mondays blur into a frenzy of fantasy lineups, prop bets, pregame hype, postgame breakdowns, and primetime matchups. The rest of the week is just prep for the next five-day marathon. Free agency, the NFL Draft, even the schedule release—they all keep my football fixation alive, distracting me from life’s other demands until the NBA Playoffs roll around in May.
Yet, despite pouring so much of my life into football—mostly the NFL—I always feel disconnected this time of year. Who did the Cowboys draft? What’s the sleeper team this season? Seriously, what’s Cleveland’s quarterback situation?
Quarterback doesn’t directly answer these, but it sparks the urge to find out. It’s a breezy yet engaging watch, its biggest draws being the insider access it offers and the way it pulls you back into America’s favorite obsession.
